appearance: Siska is pretty average to look at. Her build is not really tiny, but it isn't bulky either. She simply is average. Her shoulder muscles are a bit thick, but they are not flashy. Her hair is typically wavy, not curly, but just naturally wavy. Her face is slightly angled, and her eyes are a little bit wide. Her form is very feminine, yet not overly so. She does have the hour-glass shape, but it is mild and a bit more like a triangle shape due to her lacking of hips and rear-end.
She has a tattoo of a feather on her back, just over her right shoulder. The feather is simple and has the black and white coloration of an American Kestrel's tail feather.
Clothing wise, Siska likes to wear the top of fashion, but with her limited budget, she tends to get knock off things that look like top line. She is very good at getting the "fake stuff" that looks like the "real stuff". Her favorites include anything that is shiny, glittery, or smells good. She does HATE high heeled shoes though. personality: Siska is a pretty basic young woman. She is spunky, proud, bold and for the most part, happy. With this pretty self explainatory list, we will start with Spunky.
If you have ever watched a wild falcon bird, you will notice that it happily challenges things that are four times its size, and will not turn down from a challenge. This is Siska. The easiest way to see this side of her is to call her Siska. She will start a stare down until the "offender" calls her Kess or Kestrel. Yet, if you rather keep all of your body parts, just sit back and watch her as she teaches. She takes on almost any challenge that her students can throw at her, and does her best to show others that she is equal, if not better, than them. A common victum of her challenging tends to be Military personel, due to their "overbearing" vibe, as she says.
Like the falcon that she is named after and can shift into, she is proud. She happily lets others know that she is happy of what she is, where she is and who she is. Not much can be said to her to make her think otherwise. It is hard to bring her down, and even harder to get her to think that she is lower than someone else. She will accept being equal to someone, but never lower than them.
Got a problem with someone, but don't know how to tell them? Kess will happily tell them for you. She has no problems speaking her mind, and will even let the world know what she is thinking. Announcing that she has to pee to the world is a common occurance. She has almost no sensor on her mouth when it comes to what she is thinking, though she usually has a clean tongue when it comes to curse words.
If there was one teacher with the sun shining out of their rear, it would have to be Kess. She is almost always bouncing with a good mood. If she isn't happily bouncing from one place to the next or teaching, she is humming to herself. Kess has a very positive mind, and like with her pride, it takes a lot to bring her down. It is a very rare occasion for her to be in a foul mood, and even more rare for her to stay in a foul mood.[/ul][/size][/blockquote]

history: Siska was born on the reservation in Washington. She didn't really need to live there, neither did her mother since her mother was half english blood, but both of her parents chose to live there. So she grew up with others that were either pure native or mixed like herself. There were not too many others her age, so she spent much of her time with the pure native elders, listening to their stories of the past and of how their tribe used to be peaceful and thriving. She enjoyed the stories, and seemed to get more than just amusement out of them.
When Siska was about nine, one of the elders loved her middle name so much, that they never called her Siska. Within a few weeks, all of the elders were calling the girl Kestrel or Kess. She actually liked the name better, and started to go by it. Then, that same summer, she was speaking to one of the elders, listening to his stories when he asked her why her middle name was Kestrel. She of course didn't know and said that it was because it was pretty. The elder told her she was wrong and said it was because the Kestrel was her spirit animal, her totem, the animal that the spirits gave her. She was in awe, and was soon doing research on spirit animals and more. Before too long, she learned that if trained right, a person could actually shapeshift into their spirit animal form. This gained most of her interest, and she was soon looking for people to teach her to do such things. All she could find was two schools. One in england, and the other in Wyoming. Determined, she sent a letter to SOHT, begging for them to take her, but they brushed her off, saying that she was too young and too poor. Both were true, so she gave up. Yet, she only stayed down for a few years before she was at it again.
Finally, by the time she was fourteen, a recruter from the school showed up in Spokane. He talked to Siska, whom was going by Kess at this point. Their interview went on for hours, and he, being a magic major himself, tested Kess, searching for magical potential. He did not give Kess an answer, and only told her that she would hear back from him, then left.
Weeks passed, then months passed, and Kess heard nothing from the school. Then, the letter came. She had been accepted, and had been given a full ride scholarship to the school. Within a few weeks, she was off on her first real adventure.
School was easy for her. She passed all of her classes, and by the time she was a third year, was learning to shapeshift thanks to a teacher that agreed to privately teach her. It took her some time, but before the end of her third year, she made her first full shift into exactly what the elder had told her, an American Kestrel.
By the time that she was a fifth year, she was taking both Shifting specific classes, along with Earth Science classes. When she finally graduated after six years, she had a double major in both Magic and Earth sciences, with Shifting and Ornithology being her specific areas.
After graduation, she was hired by Mr. Rufus Shinra to be a tutor to the other students. Then, after a year she was promoted to a full time teacher. She took up only two classes, Shape Shifting and Ornithology. 2012 year marked the start of her teaching career.
