Black
eye color: Red
height and weight: 6'0" and 165 pounds
distinguishing features: None
face claim: Vincent Valentine - Final Fantasy VII
appearance: Vincent is tall. That tends to make him stand out from those around him from the beginning. He dwarfs many people, and despite the fact that he has a very lean frame with little obvious muscle, he is fairly strong. Of course, Vincent's no weightlifter or anything like that, but with the time that he has spent with ROTC, Vincent is far from skinny. His hair is usually kept fairly long, hanging into his face and eyes, as Vincent rarely can be bothered to cut it. The black hair makes his pale skin seem even fairer, and the dark crimson of his eyes contrasts with his fair skin as well. In general, Vincent prefers to wear darker colors such as black and red.[/ul][/blockquote]

science, keeping to himself, listening, watching, ROTC, Mustang, guns
dislikes: School, socializing, stupid people, regret, energetic people, people in general, waking up early
personality: Vincent is a quiet young man. If he doesn't have something to say, he won't say anything at all. For him, it's that simple. If Vincent has something to say, he won't hesitate to say it. And if he has nothing meaningful to say, he simply won't say anything. Of course, as Vincent rarely feels that he has anything particularly meaningful to contribute to the childish conversations of those around him, he says very little. The occasional times when he does have something to say, one can typically rest assured that it is actually important. Vincent won't say anything unless he feels that it's well and truly important.
Anti-social, to say the least, Vincent could definitely be considered a loner. To tell the truth, this goes hand in hand with the fact that Vincent doesn't talk very much. He keeps to himself. He rarely socializes with others. Vincent is happiest when he's on the outside looking in. He definitely prefers to keep to himself. People aren't exactly Vincent's cup of tea, and Vincent rarely wants to deal with others. So he very often keeps to himself and avoids the majority of people. There are, of course, people that Vincent would consider friends, but he keeps his friends list short. Actually, he keeps the list of people that he talks to at all very short.
Emotions? What are those? Well, that's the kind of impression that Vincent tends to give. Very calm and collected, he almost never shows any sort of emotion. He controls himself and all displays of emotions. Vincent has a very strict control over his features and his voice, ensuring that he always comes across as calm, no matter how infuriated he is internally. When Vincent truly displays an emotion, whether it's anger or sadness, this is an extremely rare occurrence and it is usually because whatever emotion he is feeling is extremely strong. Even then, however, Vincent usually doesn't show emotions with the strength that he is feeling them.
Vincent can tend to come across as cold because of his control over his emotions combined with his typical silence. However, that's not entirely true. Though he can certainly have a cold exterior, occasionally Vincent will reveal a much warmer interior. However, Vincent doesn't reveal that softer side unless it's someone that he is very close to. And since Vincent doesn't get very close to very many people, very very few people see the warmer underside to his cold personality.
When Vincent feels as if he has done something wrong, whether he has done wrong or not, he will hold onto his guilt. That's one thing that will always stick with him - guilt. If Vincent cam do anything to right a wrong that he feels as if he has committed, he will. And even if he does right this wrong, the guilt will stick with him. Vincent almost never forgets thing that he feels guilty about. He clings to his guilt in a manner that is almost entirely unhealthy.[/ul][/blockquote]

Grimoire Valentine (deceased)
father: Anabel Valentine, 45 years, nurse
siblings: None
others: none
hometown: Cheshire, England
history: Grimoire Valentine was a scientist with the military, barely entering into his chosen field of geology when he discovered the beautiful Anabel Rath, with her pretty blue eyes and gentle smile. He was in love before he knew what happened. She became Anabel Valentine within the year, and the two were happy together. The happiness only grew when little Vincent Valentine was born. He was perfect, in their eyes, and only made them happier together. So Vincent's childhood, at least, was happy. His parents loved each other very much, and though they tried to have another child (they even had names picked out - Elanor, if it was a girl and Mason if it was a boy), they failed. It seemed that Vincent was the first and only child that the couple would have. And they were all right with that.
His parents encouraged Vincent to do whatever he wanted. And Vincent looked up to his father quite a bit. He wanted to enter into the military and become a scientist just like his father! That drove Vincent from an early age. He emulated his father, wanted to be just like the man, like many children. But when Vincent was five, Grimoire Valentine was killed in an explosion at the lab that he worked at. All of a sudden, Vincent lost the man that he had looked up to so much. And that only made him that much more determined to become a scientist (or go into the military, though Vincent would likely fail at that since he didn't work well with others, even then). Anabel continued to support her son in whatever he wished to do, but she began to work more hours to continue to give her son the life that he was accustomed to, and she always kept herself busy so that she wouldn't fall apart.
Vincent had lost most of the constant loving attention that he was used to. It wasn't so much that he lost the love of his mother, it was simply that she just had less time for him and she didn't like to look at her son so much anymore. He reminded her so much of Grimoire that it hurt. So Anabel distanced herself from her son slightly. She still loved him, and still showed it, but Vincent swiftly grew less loving towards his mother, and then towards everyone. It was supposed to be a punishment for withdrawing from him at first, but after a while, it simply felt . . . natural. So Vincent never really changed.
When Vincent turned 13 years old, he got a letter from a prestigious private school. This School for the Abnormally Gifted was where his father had attended school before him, and Vincent leaped at the challenge. He began to attend the school at 14 years of age, and during his first year, Vincent began to attend classes with a major in the rough equivalent of SOHT's ROTC with a few classes on the side dedicated to various sciences. It was during his first year that he met his first love, a young woman named Lucrecia Crescent. She was beautiful, and Vincent was head over heels within moments of meeting her. They began dating about halfway through his first year of high school. It seemed like everything would work out for them. No one would have been surprised if they had gotten married after school, in truth.
But at the end of their third year, Vincent found out that Lucrecia had been cheating on him for months with a science major. It didn't take long for Vincent to break it off. He refused to speak to Lucrecia after that, and when he was about to begin his final year at that school, their school actually offered him and a select few others the chance to transfer to America. Vincent was pleased by the opportunity, and when his mother agreed sadly, making him promise to write and call her daily, he transferred to SOHT along with a few other students. Much to Vincent's annoyance, Lucrecia had transferred as well, but he swiftly did his best to avoid her at all times.
