Tonight was the night. The first natural born warhound litter was being given out to specially selected people. Of course, more people were attending the awarding, just to see which person got which puppy. In the end, it was the pup's choice of who it went to. So, that was why the stadium had been cleared out and was set up with chairs around the outside, and a nice bed in the middle edge.
The stadium had been set up many hours before hand so that the mother hound and the six puppies could explore before their big moment. Now, at six at night, Roy stood beside the "nest" set up for the mother hound, with his own hounds, Valka and Tulipalo, watching the dozing pups. The mother had left, finally freed from her duity of protecting the valuble babies, and had gone home with her person. People had started to file into the stadium, and time to wake the pups was drawing closer.
Roy. You sure they are ready? Tulipalo's blue eyes looked up into the face of his person. The general looked down at his largest warhound and pat the creature's bony head. I am sure they are. They are a month old, and ready to take on the world. We don't have anything to worry about. Besides, they are all people of this town and school, He replied as he looked over at the small female hound that sat on the otherside of the "nest". Valka's creamy-fawn and white pelt was fully cleaned for once, and her red armor was glistening in the light as she sat there. Her crimson eyes watched the people filing in closely. "Valka," Roy said as he stood tall. Valka looked at him, her ears perked, then nodded slightly as she padded towards the one entry way that would be kept open. She would keep anyone from stealing their precious bundles.
Tulipalo approched the nest and woke the pups, one by one, as Roy barked instructions to the people chosen to try for one of the experimental pups.
"Do not go for them. Let them come to you. Do not leave until they have been branded, if you get one of the pups. All pups need to be branded with their number written down for our files. They will then get their tag, and you will also get a tag. It is recommended that you keep this second tag with you as much as possible. If you get a puppy, do not hesitate to ask questions about their growth, behavior or make up. I have had two hounds, and they are healthy as ox. Last of all, don't try to impress them with a show. They will choose you, or not choose you, no matter what you do. Good luck,"
With that, he wandered over to his standing point to watch as the puppies looked at the crowd with wide eyes.
((I will start "passing out the puppies" as soon as everyone has posted their potential owners getting to the stadium. This will be a quick thread.))

- - - - - - - - - - a warning to the people, the good and the evil this is war - - - - - - - - - - Vincent Valentine stretched slightly, wandering out of his room silently. He wriggled his toes in worn boots, smoothed his black jeans absently and tugged on the hem of his grey t-shirt as he wandered along. One hand wore a simple leather glove, but Vincent wasn't too dressed up for this moment in time. It was the day that the first Warhounds would be handed out to the students, yes, but Vincent truly wasn't one to get too worked up by it. He doubted that any would choose him anyways, but being an ROTC major, he wasn't interested in going against what Mustang wanted him to do. And Mustang had hand picked him and a select few others to receive the pups.
It was too bad Alicia wasn't coming. Instead, Vincent was going alone. He had heard Ali mention that Toboe would be attending as well but Vincent did not know Toboe particularly well. He knew few of Alicia's friends well, to be precise. Vincent wasn't particularly friendly and he rarely spent time with anyone other than Alicia if he could avoid it. There were always classes and such but other than that, Vincent kept to himself. He was no social butterfly, and he made that clear as he wandered down the hallways alone.
When he reached the stadium, Vincent joined the throng that ringed around the pups silently. The crimson eyed man stood off to the side a bit, not shoving to the front like some chose to do. Instead, Vincent hung to the back. He wasn't entirely sure that he wanted any Warhounds, for one, and honestly, he wasn't sure that they were worth all of the energy that surrounded them. The aura of excitement that filled the air was palpable, even to Vincent, but he didn't let it affect him.
Instead, Vincent listened solemnly to Mustang's words, committing them to memory with a slight nod. He doubted that he would need to remember or know it, but on the off chance that any warhound showed interest in him, Vincent would be prepared.

Natsu was next to clueless about what exactly was going on. And he didnt like that. A few days ago, just a day after he had even arrived at the school, there had been a knock at his door. Someone from the military base (he hadnt even known there was a military base next to the school) said that Natsu had been selected for some warhound thing, and gave him the time he was supposed to be there. Since then, he had asked around, and gotten few answers. But at least he had a vague idea of what a warhound was. Natsu had decided that it would be interesting to attend, though he was mainly just curious, what exactly was happening, why he was selected, and such.
So, it was five fifty when Natsu left his room, gathering all of his usual stuff, which wasnt much. After all, he had only arrived on campus nearly a week ago, with only a backpack and a small duffel bag. Several times along the way, he had to ask where this stadium place was, until he found someone heading to the same place that he was. They regarded his goggles with a strange stare, but that was usual. Not many people wore goggles, it wasnt really like Natsu cared what the man thought though.
The first thing that struck him upon entering the stadium was that there were a bunch of chairs set up around a large dog bed. Then Natsu saw the warhounds. They were like dogs, slim and lean, but with a skull on the outside of their head? That was...different. There were two, seemingly full grown, warhounds that he could see, and the litter of puppies on the bed.
Natsu listened closely to the instructions, then decided to follow them for once, seeing as he was a tad bit out of his element. Though if these pups pick who they go to, i might leave without one. Regardless of what happened, he would stick around just to see. Maybe ask a few questions about these unusual animals.

Six thirty. The gates to the stadium finally shut, and Valka stood tall in front of the only doors that would be openable, though she was a small hound. Roy stood there for a moment, before nodding to his black pelted male hound. Tulipalo nodded back, and approched the puppies. The adult male and the litter traded commentary for a few minutes, and the litter suddenly started to get very excited. One by one, they started to climb their ways out of the high-edge bed that they had been placed in.
One puppy in particular was rearing and ready to go. The pup was the largest of the litter, and already about double the size of the second-largest pup. By looking at him, one could guess that the pup already weighed about eight pounds. His pelt was creamy and smooth, with a light tan or fawn pigment. Except on his legs, of course. His right front paw only had a small white sock, while his front left had a white stocking all the way up to his elbow. On his hind legs, it was the opposite, with the sock on his left and the large stocking on his right. Along with his socks and stockings, the very tip of his long tail was dipped in the bright white color.
Like his color and markings, which was easy on the eyes, his personality seemed to be easy too. As he pranced awkwardly forward, two of his siblings behind him started to tussle and yip, which earned them a displeased glare from the fawn and white male. His two siblings soon stopped and sat upright as they looked at their alpha brother.
The fawn and white male was pleased looking, and sat on his rump as he looked at the people in the stadium, assessing which one was calling him. That was when one of the sibling he had glared at, the third largest pup, decided to do a surprise attack on his brother. This male could barely walk slow enough to sneak up on his sibling, for energy just seemed to be seeping from his young body. When the Grey-blotched-white pup finally got close enough to his brother's back, he let out a snarl and leapt onto his brother. He was quickly thrown off and growled at, but he didn't seem to notice. Instead, he slapped his front paws on the ground and let his butt wiggle spazztically in the air. As he sat there, taunting his larger brother, it was easy to see that the grey-blotched pup had a skull and head that was much shorter than that of his brother, and frankly, most of his siblings. Whether or not that had anything to do with his endless energy, the fawn-white pup wasn't wanting to find out.
After growling a warning and mentally scolding his hyper sibling, the fawn and white pup stood, awkwardly shook himself, which made his legs flail around a bit and almost made him fall over, then wandered to the first row of people. He could feel a personality that he really liked. It as calm. Collected. Cool. But strong. The fawn-white pup was not rushing to find the person, though. He slowly made his way through the crowd, looking up at each face, and letting his nose twitch as he took in their scents. He started at one end of the front row, with all intentions of working his way down, then back and up the stairs until he found who it was he was looking for. He knew that the person that would be his perfect companion was in here!
Then the fawn-white pup stopped in the middle of the line and his bi-color blue eyes shifted to he far end. He stood there for a moment, looking at the last few people on the end, seeming to be hiding from him. He huffed and started towards the end without paying the rest of the people any attention. Why are you all the way down here? Were you challenging me? I do like challenging things... Like puzzles. The pup's mind reached out to his person as he approched the young man with the dark black hair and crimson eyes. Vincent Valentine, huh? Isn't Valentine a human holiday? I remember my mother speaking of it. Is that were you get your name? The pup questioned as he finally approched the person he was claiming and sat down in front of him, looking up with big, bright bi-colored eyes. Oh. I forgot to mention... I am Tsviet.
The rest of the litter watched as their largest brother was brave and chose his person first. After that, they all seemed to bound forward in excitement. Especially the hyper grey-blotched male. He ran as fast as his awkward legs could take him, up and down, up and down, up and down the line of people. Though it looked just like a game, which it mostly was, his mind was hard at work, collecting and processing things at surprising speeds. Though he was hyper and had the attention span of a gnat, his processing and memory was like that of a computer. He could take in all the things around him, analyze them, and put them into "files" in about a quarter of the time of his siblings. With that type of processing speed, it was no wonder that he was next to find his person.
Quickly, at his full, awkward run, the grey-blotched pup ran up to Natsu and leapt up as far as he could and touched his nose to Natsu's chest. Natsu! Nat! Nat! Nat! Nat! Oh! I can't believe I found you so fast! I am so fast compared to Tsviet! Aren't you proud of your Flare?! The pup bounced in place, too excited for his own good.

Natsu observed closely at the proceedings, immediately deciding that these were not just strange looking hounds of an average intelligence. They were quite smart indeed. The pups had waited for a cue of some sort before leaving the bed. The first one he saw seemed to be the boss, a slight tan colored coat and of course the distinctive and strange outer skull. He was also the biggest of the ones he could see.
He laughed to himself as one of the chastened pups launched a surprise attack, the grey and white one, leaping onto the larger pup. This one was full of fire, Natsu could tell, a playful spark for sure. Of course, the big pup took the lead after that little diversion, going to the end of the line with an intense focus. The interaction was interesting, obviously the pup had chosen who he was going home with.
After that, the rest split, going in their own directions. Natsu was dividing his time between watching all of the pups that he almost didn’t catch the speeding grey meteor that sped in his direction. In no time, the hyper pup, which he recognized as the one that tackled its brother, had leapt up and positioned its nose right in his sternum. Natsu! Nat! Nat! Nat! Nat! Oh! I can‘t believe I found you so fast! I am so fast compared to Tsviet! Aren‘t you proud of your Flare?!
Natsu watched with an incredibly amused face as the pup literally bounded up and down, trying to work out what had just happened. This pup, Flare, just talked into my mind? And how did he know my name?! And the next thought. Wait, Flare chose me? Flare, chose me! And Natsu got way more excited than he ever remembered being, along with a sense of pride. “Flare! Flare, oh wow you are quite a Flare aren’t you? Quick as a bolt of lightening!” Natsu looked down at the pup, a giant smile coming over his face as he stroked and patted the pup. “So, you’re wanting to come home with me then?” The answer was almost immediate. Of course Nat! You’re mine now, ill keep you safe, and we can go everywhere, or anywhere! Wherever! Come on! Lets go right now!
Natsu jumped out of his chair and quickly caught up with Flare before he could get to the doors. “Wait, Flare, we cant leave yet!” The pup turned around and gave him a look, as if to say, are you stupid? The door is right there! Well why not? Oh wait, okay, I know. And before the nonplussed Natsu could do anything, Flare started running as quickly as his legs would allow in the other direction, towards a table at the side of the arena that had a machine, one that he couldn’t identify.
When they arrived, Natsu lifted Flare up to the table as instructed, then waited as they used the device to put something on Flare’s left flank. E4437 Was what he could read clearly, a brand. It’s numb! It feels to funny, and kind of tingly! Flare said, squirming around to look at the ID on his rear. See! I get a letter and numbers! And I’m the only one that gets this one! Isn’t that awesome! I’m unique! Natsu laughed, “I don’t think you need that to be unique, but well done.”

Toboe was nervously standing in the furthest back edge as he could as the puppies started to bound around. He didn't want to be in their way, and really didn't want them to think they HAD to choose him. In fact, he really didn't want to be there at all. He knew one person, Vincent Valentine, whom he was slightly afraid of when Alicia wasn't around, but that he didn't stand close to that man. Instead, the shifter boy stood shyly in the back, watching with eyes filled with wonder. Two of the other puppies sat closer to the nest, their eyes wide with emotions that danced in their minds and to eachother. Both of them were white and small, easily the two smallest of the litter, yet the female was slightly larger. She held no marks or pigmintation on her coat, and her eyes were a light, romantic pink that promised a delicate color on her skull in the future. The little male that sat next to her was about half her size, and could not have been any heavier than 3 pounds. He looked alot like his slightly larger sister, except for a few things. His eyes were bright red, which though not unusual in Warhounds, hints at albinoism in him since his paw pads were all pink. Then, there was his skull. The skull was blocky and deformed. The area that should have held his canine-like teeth on the outter skull was all mushed and flat looking. The eye holes were pinched in and only left small area's for him to see. Then the area that covered his cheek was jagged and sharp. To add to the deformation of the skull, his nose was quite a bit shorter than what it should have been for his size. Though the male was deformed and small, it didn't seem to faze him or his sister that kept at his side. The female would often lean over and touch her bony nose to his, trying to comfort herself and him. Yet it didn't seem to work, for when they both finally stood up, their limbs shook slightly with nerves. The nerves were not enough to stop the nervous pups though. With eachother at their sides, they slowly moved forward towards the direction that their largest brother had gone. Vincent. Brother. Tsviet and Vincent. Y-you wouldn't mind if I stayed with you, would you? The male deformed runt pup cowered up to Vincent's feet and cowered there, looking at both Vincent and Tsviet with worried eyes. I-if I am too... too hedious... too... too weak.... I-I will go, Y-your Cerberus will leave...now... I-I don't want you unhappy, Vincent. I-I don't want you unhappy either...Tsviet. The runt pup shook on the ground, afraid that he would be turned away, but also ready to leave at the moment Vincent said for him to leave. The little white female watched her runt brother for a moment, suddenly scared that she was all alone. With her tail tucked and her body low, she slunk down the line, only to occasionally look up at people then run away from them slightly. She was skittish and jumpy, and even when a person sneezed in the crowed, she let out a screaming yelp and toppled over her own legs in fright. During her little spell of fright, if someone so much as twitched in her direction, she let out another scream that sounded like she was being murdered. Once all went still again, and quiet, the skittish pup got to her feet again and bolted to the far edge where she knew her person was waiting. Toboe! Oh, Toboe! This is horrible! Make it stop! I don't want to be here any more! Can we go home, please? I don't want to be here any more. Your Ren is scared. So scared. Please my Toboe! The pup cowered and cried as she pressed her small frame into Toboe's legs, trying to get him to pick her up. She cried loudly, while her muscles still shook like a leaf in the breeze. Toboe watched the brave pups first, amused by how they seemed to move with such confidence and smooth, or wild, energy. It was even nicer to see that the Boyfriend?...love interest?... of his friend Alicia got a nice hound too! Of course he was going to be happy for Vincent! Then his eyes met the runt puppy as he made his way to Vincent also. TWO! Two Puppies!? How insane was that? Toboe smiled wildly and thought about how amazed Alicia would be when she heard! Surely she would be happy for Vincent too, right? He was almost certain she would be! That was when the little white female started screaming. She was so cute, innocent and scared, and it broke Toboe's heart. He knew what it was like to be that scared, and he didn't think it was fair for ANY to go through that, human or not. Yet, he was unaware that the pup was actually heading for himself! He watched her barrel into his legs, crying and squirming as her mental voice reached his mind. Her voice was soft and weak, yet fear and panic were apparent in her tone. Then his own coppery eyes met her pink ones and he melted. It took him some time, but he finally decided it was safe to move to the pup. Nervously and slowly, he moved down, bending at his knees until he was sitting on the ground with the pup in his lap. Ren scrambled into his lap and buried her face into his shirt, almost crawling into it as she did so. Softly, he sat there and crooned to her, petting her soft velvety back as he tried to get her to relax a bit. ((These are their ADULT PICTURES!
