Character Rules

The rules that pertain to characters are very simple as well, but every member is expected to follow them.

1) No Mary Sues or Gary Stus. This means that no perfect characters are allowed. Real people have flaws and so should your characters. Besides, perfect is boring!

2) Keep all content PG-13. If you want mature content, please take it off site so that our board doesn't get deleted. Fade to black is a must!

3) No excessive swearing. Again, try to keep things PG-13. There are some characters that swear non-stop (Cid Highwind, I'm looking right at you), but please try to keep it PG-13!

4) When you first start with us, you can have four characters. With every one hundred posts that you make here, you gain one more character slot. (People with the ADMIN title can have as many characters as wanted/needed due to plots and more)

5) At least one out of every four of your characters has to be an OC. (ex: 3 Canons, then One OC....Six Canons, Two OCs) (This qualifies for ADMINs too)

6) Do not godmod. At all. Godmodding is making your character invincible or impossible to hit. Do not powerplay. This means that you should not take control of another character unless it is with the express permission of the other RPer.

7) Half of each member's student characters need to be registered in at least two classes. More would be preferable, but two is the bare minimum. You should always keep an eye out for special events within that class as well! You never know when a class will have a special event.

8) If a class event is going on, do your best to post in it! Otherwise, you might miss out on some very awesome prizes.

9) Teachers are encouraged to post at least one class event, if possible. If you wish to set up an event, contact an administrator.

10) Keep an eye out for danger zones!

11) Remember to modify a canon character's history so that it fits in with the setting and plot!

12) When posting a character application, make sure that the application is posted LASTNAME, first middle.

13) Each member is allowed ONE free pet for ONE character. This pet can only be a Cat, dog, bird, reptile or Fish though. Any special pets that may come up on the site do not apply to this.

14) ALL CHARACTERS MUST HAVE A HUMAN BASE. For example, Werewolves and shapeshifters are all naturally humans. Even if they are natural born werewolves, their base species is human. No hybrids that have odd ears or things like that at this time. Also, no ghosts etc at this time either.

15) If you do not know how to Paragraph RP, don't fret, for the members here are willing to teach you! But please be willing to learn! An easy goal to shoot for is a 100 word minimum!

16) All members, after a period of time and depending on if they were learning how to Paragraph Rp, should have a 100-200 word minimum on every post. We don't enforce this that well, but it is a good goal to have for maximum fun!

17) Remember Liquid time! You can have one character in as many threads as you want, just remember the liquid time and don't overwhelm yourself.

18) Remember that there is IC punishments for IC issues. A student who is caught sneaking around will get punished. If there is a 1x1 thread going on where the students are causing some type of problem, an ADMIN will flip a coin to see if they will get caught. Heads = caught, tails = safe. If heads is flipped, the ADMIN will input an OOC message into that thread as a warning, and a teacher/Adult/police/who-ever-fits-this-job-best will be allowed to enter. This is for maximum excitement!
